About The
Cannabis Industry

To comply with the regulations set by the state of Nevada and work in the cannabis industry, it is mandatory for all cannabis professionals to obtain a Cannabis Agent Card. The issuance of this card falls under the responsibility of the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB). As part of the application process, individuals are required to undergo a background check.

However, it is important to note that there are certain limitations and criteria that must be met in order to work for or volunteer at a cannabis business. These include:

1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to be eligible for a Cannabis Agent Card.

2. Excluded Felony Offense: Individuals who have been convicted of an excluded felony offense may not be eligible to work in the cannabis industry. The specific offenses that fall under this category are determined by the state regulations.

It’s also worth highlighting that the passing of SB277 introduced a provision that allows individuals to request a petition for exception from the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board. This means that if someone has a prior felony conviction but believes they should be granted an exception based on their circumstances, they can submit a petition to be considered by the board.

However, it’s important to note that the process for submitting these petitions has not yet been developed. As soon as the process is established, we will post the necessary steps and information to guide individuals through the petition process effectively.

It is crucial for all cannabis professionals in Nevada to adhere to these requirements and regulations to ensure compliance with the law and maintain the integrity of the industry.

To obtain an Agent Card, you will need to follow a multi-step process. Firstly, you can create or sign into your account through the Cannabis Customer Portal. You can access the portal by visiting Nevada Agent Card Application.

It is important to carefully review all the instructions and provide accurate and up-to-date information.

The application process typically involves submitting personal details, supporting documentation, and potentially undergoing a background check. This ensures compliance with the regulations and standards set forth by the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board.

By following these steps and providing all the necessary information and documentation, you can successfully apply for an Agent Card. If you encounter any difficulties or have further questions, it is recommended to reach out to the appropriate customer support channels for assistance.

Nevada’s cannabis regulations are considered by many to be the “Gold Standard” for legalization in the United States. To learn more about Nevada’s Cannabis laws, go to the CCB’s website

The cannabis industry is composed of professionals, advocates, and community members who believe in the power of cannabis and, more importantly, the power of the people behind the plant.

In Nevada, the cannabis industry is governed by the CCB and the Executive Branch, including the Governor, and Attorney General’s office. County commissioners and legislators of municipalities also play a part in the regulation of cannabis establishments at different jurisdictional levels.
