Board Members and Officers of the Board are an essential part of the Chamber’s governance and organizational well-being. Board Members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the Chamber to advance its mission.
We are overwhelmed by the positive response and the quality of applications we received during the application window and look forward to introducing you to our next Board of Directors on October 1st.
The time spent on the board gave me the resources to understand how legislation and regulation are established and executed in the state, allowing me to build relationships that led to me joining the Cannabis Advisory Commission’s subcommittee on market participation. As a Board Member, I got to know the industry’s lifeblood: the employees, patients, and other advocates. Their stories and passion for wanting to change the industry for the better was so inspiring.
When I first started attending Chamber events, I felt an immediate connection to this inclusive group of individuals that had come together for the greater good of the cannabis industry. After joining as an Individual Member, I joined the Events Committee and then got involved with the Community Impact Committee. Becoming a Board Member allowed me to become a real decision maker and directly contribute to several regulatory changes. I look forward to continuing to support the businesses and community in the cannabis industry.
